There was only an XS left and I was nervous it’d be a little too tight but I have a shortsie in an XS and the duck egg shorts and top in a Small… they both fit great but this extra small gives me a thigh gap I’ve never had lol it doesn’t have the slip preventing rubber on the bottom of the legs, but it fits so well it still doesn’t run upwards! I’ve been feeling a little down about my body but these shorts hold everything in without me feeling squished (I feel really relaxed in them) and doesn’t make me look like I’m bulging out. My perfect workout shorts, thanks Cassie♥️♥️
First off I want to say there are so many amazing things about these shorts!
The length is perfect for me, which I don't often find with biker shorts as I am 5'3 (161cm) but have quite thick thighs so usually what fits my bum/thigh width looks awkwardly long and oversized but these are a perfect length.
The fabric is super comfortable and feels like great quality.
The hourglass waist (which is what drew me to buy these) is flattering and is well executed.
The pockets are considerably wider/deeper than any I have so far found on tights/shorts, which is quite nice.
There were a few things that I would prefer to be different about the shorts though. For instance the stitching at the bottom of the shorts is quite firm and cuts in a bit, which I imagine may have been engineered to stop them from riding up but the cut in is kinda noticeable which I am not so keen on.
The fit overall is pretty nice, although I would prefer the bum shaping seam to sit a bit higher (it may do on other body types, as I have a pretty big bum lol).
I do love the waist bit shape but would prefer if the top seam sat a little higher and was a little firmer so as to provide a bit more tummy support and keep from slipping down. It just doesn't quite feel as secure as I would like it to.
All in all pretty awesome shorts, they do run a bit small as I am in a L/US8 and usually am a US6 but purchased up a size because other reviews in here recommended that.
For reference I am 161cm/5'3 tall, 74kgs/163lbs
I'm 5'3" and weigh 125 lbs with 28" waist and 38" hips. My thighs are short and meaty so biker shorts are usually VERY unflattering on me but I decided to take a chance with these because of the cross waist, the pockets and because I'm Cassey's biggest fan. These are actually a great length for me. They're very flattering and hit my thighs at the smallest dip in the middle. Minus one star because unfortunately they do squeeze my meat a little bit, causing a little bit of a sausage appearance and the bottom seam becomes uncomfortable after a couple of hours of wear. The sausage thing is honestly only really noticeable to me because I'm insecure about my legs, I promise they are truly flattering irl the crossover waist was designed so well!
I bought these shorts after buying a pair with the same waistband from Mystical Moments. I LOVED the MM shorts; they fit perfectly and were super comfy. I got these ones in the same size, expecting the same fit, but it was a struggle to get them over my thighs. After a workout, I have imprints of the seams on my legs. The waistband is super fashionable, and I adore the fabric Popflex uses, but there is just no room for thighs in these shorts!!
