Crisscross Hourglass Legging™ with Pockets - Black

I was super excited when these came out as I had the original hourglass black leggings and they were my absolute fave!! Pulling these bad boys on, well...let's just say it reminded me of the time I tried to pull on a pair of Spanx. They were definitely compressive. VERY much so. I started to wonder if I had ordered the wrong size, the mediums I had before fit great, as well as several other PopFlex leggings. These got on, and I wore them to several classes but I finally pulled out my old ones and did a comparison. Yup. There is definitely a difference there. Now, that could be unfair...both pairs have been worn and washed several times, still, it is quite a large difference between the two. I guess I'll put these into a pile for the day I drop another 10 pounds because they just don't fit as is. I know PopFlex is working on their sizing, and to that I say, bravo. These were not up to par. I LOVE the pockets! This fabric is flat and matte compared to the originals that had a bit of sheen to them. Not sure if I like or dislike, but I can say the matte fabric seems to collect hair much more.

This is the softest and comfiest leggings I’ve ever bought. And the V-shape at the waist is so flattering.
This is the best leggings I’ve bought so far, so I highly recommend them.
The only downside to this leggings is that fur gets stuck to it easily. I have a white fluffy dog, and the fur just sticks to the legging, and it is hard to remove without a pet hair remove roller.
I also find that the legging runs small. I’m usually a XS or S, but I bought this one in a size M after reading some reviews, and I’m glad I did. I don’t think I would have gotten a size XS or S on. It’s kinda tight.

Height: 150 cm
Waist: 75 cm
Hips: 90 cm
Tights: 50 cm
Usually wear: XS-S
Bought: M (fits perfectly)

So if your measurements are similar to mine, I recommend buying a size M. Or generally sizing one size up from your normal size, unless you really want it tight.

These are so thoughtfully designed down to every last detail! The fabric is compressive yet comfy. I’ve gotten lots of compliments on them. They will be a staple in my wardrobe for many years to come. Tempted to get like 10 more pairs!

Honestly, these leggings were kind of meh for me. Not bad, not great. On me, they aren’t high waisted enough, not quite full length (I’m 170 cm/5’7), they’re not as soft and stretchy as Popflex leggings usually are and the fabric attracts lint like crazy which isn’t great when they’re black. This is just my personal taste, but I think I prefer no pockets as they are more seamless and sleek. Unlike the shorts from Basics, these leggings are slightly smaller and more compressive than earlier collections (see picture comparing the size to Cottagecore and Sugar Plum hourglass leggings). I preferred the ones from Sugar Plum, Marble and Cottagecore and yet these are more expensive. Sorry for the rough review, I hope I’ll love the next collection more!

I've got a pair of leggings from here that also have that cross over waist band. These are ten times comfier and I truly enjoy the pockets! BUT ALSO HOLY DANG DID THEY MEAN WHEN IT SAID IT LIFTED YOUR BOOTY!
