I got the carob cargo biker shorts w/ pockets. I wore these for my daily weight lifting workouts, 5k runs and boxing class. Here is what I like/don't like about the shorts.
Pros:
Really comfortable and soft fabric that did not snag or pill. The quality is there.
Light weight fabric makes my hot, humid 5k runs much more comfortable because of the cooling fabric.
The pocket was deep and helpful to carry things like keys, wallet, bottle of water etc.
The waistband does not roll up unlike the crisscross biker shorts and the draw string helps.
Squat proof, I have tested this out for several leg day workout exercises (includes back/front squats, deadlifts, hack squats, bulgarian split squats, and RDLs) and approve of this!
I can easily workout and move around without any issues and unlike the other pair of shorts, these do not ride up.
Cons:
These are not camel toe proof. Yes, they are squat proof and do not ride up, but you can still see my camel toe through the shorts.
The lines/stiches at the back of the shorts definitely does not accentuate the booty. It actually makes it look flatter or maybe it's because they are too long for me so the lines are not placed right.
Similar to the other type of biker shorts, the length of the shorts are quite long for biker shorts. I'm 5'2" so I'm on the shorter side and the shorts do not have options for lengths. In pictures and the Popflex Instagram account, they only show models that are average height or taller. The shorts always fall around mid-thigh or a little higher for these models, which is ideal. However, the shorts here fall right above my knees even though I've pulled them up 2 inches past my belly button. It's way too long to be called biker shorts and there are no petite options.
I own several cheaper biker shorts that have better functionality than these, but I do like the feel of the fabric so I will keep them. It is overpriced for the functionality that is being sold.
