I've always been a fan of the shorter booty shorts that Popflex used to sell. Still had decent pockets, just were shorter.
I've been wanting to try their longer biker shorts, but none of them had pockets.
These do, and they're really good pockets!
My only complaint is the squeeze on the thighs.
I'm so happy POPFLEX came out with biker shorts that have pockets! It's still pretty hot here where I live so I've mainly been wearing biker shorts for my workouts--it's true that they're pretty compressive, but that ensures my shorts stay put and there's no riding up (which tends to happen a lot with looser or stretchier shorts). I also love how deep the pockets are and how they go all the way down! Please make more items with pockets! Also, a little random, but I think it's kind of funny how the logo doesn't align with the matching crop top?? Not a big deal, but it's always nice when the logos align.
I LOVE the pockets, they're deep and definitely keep things in place. I went kayaking in these and my phone didn't budge at all. The band does roll down a little depending on how your standing, it doesn't bother me all that much but something to note for others. My one concern was when I was first putting them on I was wondering if I should have got a size bigger. They were pretty tight at the base of the leg hole around my thighs so there a little dip in so it looks like I might be wearing something that's too small for me but when I went back and looked at pictures it looks exactly the same on the models on the website, so they're just supposed to fit that way. Once I had them on they were comfortable and I wouldn't have wanted or needed to size up.
I've been waiting for black biker shorts WITH POCKETS for a long while now. Is it me or is the black not as dark as the past collections?
Okay.. so I have mixed feelings about these shorts. They're a bit of a struggle to put on. They feel tight pulling up & I feel like I might pop a seam, which hasn't happened... yet. The leg portion doesn't roll up but it really hugs my legs/thighs that it curves in (you can see it in the picture attached). The waist band isn't as tight as the leg portion but it does roll down a little. You can kinda see it in the picture attached too. But it rolls back up on its own eventually depending on the workout I do. The pockets are crazy deep.
First, these shorts have two pockets - omg. This may be the main reason I bought them because it's hard to find pockets in compression athletic shorts. That said, I am usually hesitant to buy biker shorts because I have muscular legs. I bought the size that I always get in PopFlex bottoms (XS), but the bottom seams in these shorts are really tight. It was actually difficult to put these on. But, I am worried about sizing up because I think if I size up the waist will be too big. I am very picky about my athletic pants' waist too big because I don't want to have to pull my pants up constantly. These shorts will probably still be good for workouts and won't ride up on my legs (good), but I am not sure if I will be able to wear them for long periods of time. Only time will tell.
I was actually surprised how compressional these are! I can normally wear size L no problem. Although, I don’t regret not getting a larger size because I could still wear these after baby comes. Again, I love the fabric and pockets!
Bought the same size I usually do in Popflex and these were overall just too small. The waist was small, but the leg openings were SO TIGHT. I loved the pockets and the fabric was so soft, so I really really wish these would've worked out. I ordered 3 items from the cottage core release and they all fit small overall. They seemed like they'd be fine for someone that's a little more straight and narrow, but no luck for curves and just left me feeling kind of bad about my body. I'm really bummed.
