Cadence Short - Peacoat Navy

These shirts are great for my walking or just relaxing during the day. The shorts are super comfortable and I love the pockets and the seam free front. The mesh over shorts are the star for me. I have 23 of the Pirouette Skorts and looove the mesh skirt. This material is so soft and floaty. So very happy boy. I generally get great support here, so please like my reviews 😘😘

I like these shorts. I bought them in black and dusty lilac right away. On the models they looked better than on me, I would say. The fabric feels good and they fit good in XS. Not as good as skirts in XS, which I did find a bit weird, but as someone who always has to switch between XS and S for Popflex clothing, I'm ok with it. For none USA customers there is no exchange so I rather try to adjust to the shorts than pay for sending them back.

I tend to like a little extra room inside my clothes, so I wasn't crazy about the 'snatched waist' at first, but the thing is it compliments the flowy nature of the shorts so well! They are snug but not so much that they ride up - everything stays comfortably right in place and the mesh layer just floats on top! I LOVE them! I'm 5'6 and 160 pounds - I usually go for large in the fitted bottoms and these are perfect.

I'm surprised at how much I like these shorts. I purchased them because I liked the design, but I was worried I wouln't like them ON ME because of the extra fabric on the hips. I have large hips and don't like to emphasize them. Turns out, I think they are super flattering and I love them. They fit very well, true to size. The quality is good, as usual, and the deep pockets are a great addition, obviously. They are comfortable and the undershorts are soft. The mesh isn't that soft but it's definitely good enough, it's not scratchy. The length of the shorts is pretty reasonable, but they do still ride up a bit though.

My only grip with these shorts is that, as with most other Popflex shorts or onesies with flowy material, the material tends to gather under your crotch, so you constantly have to readjust in order not to look crazy (see pictures). It's not the end of the world cause it is expected with this type of design, but just be aware of that. Would have given 4,5/5 for that.

But apart from that, I would recommend these shorts, I really like them.

I was super excited for these but they turned out to have the exact problem I was worried about: the mesh keeps rolling up all the time and it looks horrible. In just a few steps it is completely in the wrong position, which ends up creating a huge cameltoe - precisely what I wanted to avoid!! I found these so pretty that I got them in two colours, and both of them have the same problem. Also, after literally one use, the waistband was already pilling and now it even has fibers from the T-shirt I was wearing stuck to it.

I love Cassey and all her designs, but this one really doesn't wrk at all for me. Still the material is soft, so I guess I'll cut the mesh and use them as usual shorts...

I have over three dozen Popflex items. Mostly the Pirouette skirts. I’m a guy who adores skirts, dresses and more. I decided to try these shorts for walking. They are great. I have all the butterfly shorts, and love them. These are great, cute, comfortable and sexy. I love the pockets and the shorts with the mesh outer layer. I’d love your support for my clothing choices. I don’t know why, it is just who I am. Please like my reviews, your support means a lot 😘😘

I was so excited for these ones that I got two of them: blue navy and lilac. When I saw the pictures I wondered how was it possible for the mesh not to roll up constantly when moving, but I saw so many good reviews that I decided to give it a chance. However, my guess was right: there is no way to keep the mesh cutely falling like in the pictures, as soon as you start walking it rolls up and you end up with a huge cameltoe, maximized the mesh. Very disappointed because of this. Also, after literally the first use, in which I walked for 1.5 hours, the blue shorts got small balls on the waist band and took part of the fabric of the t-shirt I was wearing.

Still, the quality of the inner shorts is good, so I guess I will have to cut the mesh and use them as (extra expensive) normal shorts...

So comfy and cute! I was worried it would make my lower belly look like a balloon like so many other runnings shorts do, but the gauzy material was so flattering! I love them!

Such a cute pair of shorts! The flowy material adds just the right amount of cutesy, while also having the functionality of a comfortable high rise shorts with pockets underneath. I also love the adjustable waistband for additional comfort! #tryoncrew

Okay, so this one hurts a little. I really love the style of these shorts. They’re flowy while still being form-hugging, and the waist is super flattering. I’m not sure, though, why mine has already started pilling in some places after only washing it once, on delicate, in a garment bag by itself and laying flat to dry. I guess the quality on mine might be a little lacking? They are quite a bit softer than, say, the fabric of my pirouette skorts so maybe these are just a little more finicky when it comes to caring for them.

Update: Popflex was able to help make this right for me and I have already ordered another pair!!

Original: I absolutely love these shorts. I even bought in another color after trying the first pair on. They are incredibly comfortable and fit amazing. Now the sad thing is I following the washing instructions “ Please wash me cold and gently then tumble dry me low” and the strings completely twirled and shriveled up and now they don’t fit snug because of the twisted string and it looks unappealing. I have about 6 pirouette skorts that I bought between the website and Popflex TikTok shop and I followed those instructions of washing on cold and air drying and have never had an issue. So I suggest not drying these at all either.

These shorts are super cute and super comfortable, as usual for popflex. I've gotten so many compliments already and I've only worn them 3 times so far. The pockets are very convenient and the outer layer does a good job hiding any bulkiness from things being in the pockets. One detail I didn't notice until I got them is that the drawstrings are the perfect length to actually tie a nice looking bow. I'm so used to other bottoms with drawstrings having no extra length so you have to tie a really awkward tiny little knot that isnt cute at all. The designers really think of everything.

I got a size medium. I'm 5'4 and 130 lbs with thighs on the thicker side and I'm happy to report no pinching or rolling up from the shorts. They're very stretchy, I probably could have fit into a small but the medium is working out just fine.

If you're very particular about shades of purple like I am, the dusty lilac is a greyed out version of a true purple, not too pink, not too blue. It pulls oh so slightly warmer in direct sunlight but it is definitely purple and not just a cool toned pink.

I’m normally size S and got my usual size. The waistband is like the pirouette skort so I picked the same size for this. At first I wasn’t sure if I liked the way the mesh falls - I have curvy hips so I felt like it emphasized my hips in a weird way. I would only wear these with oversized tees that go past my hips or cropped/bra tops. That being said, I find I wear these all the time since getting them. They’re super comfortable and great for running and yoga and ofc they have the awesome pockets.

These shorts are very cute and feminine! I ended up returning them because they weren't my style. They are very well made, I loved how soft the mesh was. The draw string is super long, though. It would probably bother me if I went on a run. I usually wear a Small in POPFLEX for a more relaxed fit, but I went with an XS because I was worried about the waistband being too big. If I ordered again, I would size up to a Small, because the XS was pretty toight on my thighs.

I really love the concept behind these shorts and had high hopes, especially for the price point ($60). However, I'm disappointed. The idea of anti-camel toe design and flowy fabric sounds great in theory, but in practice, the fabric bunches up during any activity, which draws more attention to the area it's meant to avoid. I constantly find myself pulling them down, which is frustrating. For this price, I expected better performance. I'm genuinely sad about this because I wanted to love them.
