Ella Duffle - Mulberry

Super cute and color is perfection ! This bag is literally the perfect mix of cute and practical. The baby pink color is so soft and feminine without being over the top, and the quality feels way more luxe than I expected. I love how spacious it is inside while still looking sleek and stylish on the outside. The separate bottom compartment is honestly a game changer for keeping everything organized. It’s become my go-to bag for the gym, weekend trips, and even errands because it makes every outfit look put together. Super obsessed with this one 💕

I absolutely love the design of this bag. I bought the black travel edition and I cannot wait to use it with my suitcase, so far I have only used it for weekends away. It fits so much and I love the thought behind all the compartments and pockets.
The only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is there are a couple of nit picky things that may not be for everyone at that price point.
Firstly, I found it rather heavy compared to my other weekend bags, but I guess that is the price to pay for the quality!
It may help to have a padded shoulder strap as the one it currently has is a bit like a seat belt which isn’t the most comfortable when carrying it at its heaviest.
I absolutely love the fabric (look and feel) but I would just be cautious as it dents and marks quite quickly on the outside, so looks like it could easily damage.
Some of the other reviews mentioned the large water bottle straps but that doesn’t really bother me too much as I am usually too scared to pack my water bottles anyway. Others also mentioned that the shoe compartment comes up into the bag rather than down, this also doesn’t bother me as that seems to be the case with most of my bags, and there is still so much space even if you stuff the shoe compartment full!
Overall it is a rather expensive bag, but I do love it and cannot wait to keep using it.

I cannot explain to you how much I love this bag. The bottom pocket for my sneakers; all the little compartments; the moisture wicking fabric. I LOVE this bag. I use it when I go to hot yoga and my sopping wet clothes would really make my old bag wet and funky. I love that there's an area for a yoga mat (but mine is too thick to fit in the compartment.) I got the Magic Flash and while I wish it was that color all the time I can still pick up the iridescence in certain lights. If you need a bag that is cute but also versatile, I would definitely recommend this bag.

While there certainly are some small improvements that can be made, this bag is still outstanding!

First, so many pros! I love all the features. I do pole dance fitness and this bag has just the right amount of pockets and space for my specific needs! The inside zipper pocket is perfect for my knee pads. The shoe pocket being separate is soooo nice so it doesn’t stink up everything else! I personally didn’t have an issue with the shoe pocket taking up space in the rest of the bag like some other reviews said. My shoes are fairly tall and large but laid flat they took up almost no space! Granted, that could be because I have tiny feet and pole heels are fairly narrow but who knows Lol. I like the smaller pockets for stuff I don’t wanna dig for like deodorant or a quick snack! As a newly engaged lady and a scrunchie girlie, the ring clip was what sealed the deal for me on this purchase, and while I appreciate having the straps for a water bottle on both sides, I like having this pocket for personal affects instead, like my keys or glasses or jewelry or even clean undies or socks for after class! And y’all there is still so.much.room. I can fit my outer layers in the main pocket while I’m in class and it barely makes a difference. I’m also obseeeeessed with this dark gray/rainbow flash color and the galaxy lining. I didn’t want black lining because I feel like that makes it so hard to find anything inside of a bag, and gray and rainbow are my two fav colors so this gave me literally the best of both worlds! It’s neutral enough to where I feel like it goes with everything, but it’s also secretly super unique and different and cool. The last thing I love is the open pocket on the outside, perfect for easy access to my phone and lip balm!

Now the cons. Like others have said, the water bottle straps are definitely better suited for GIANT jugs. HOWEVER, I think if they were simply higher up, it wouldn’t matter if they were slightly too big for say a skinnier water bottle because it would still keep it from tipping! But OH DARN guess I have to be MORE HYDRATED 😹. The second bummer is actually surprising, the secret yoga mat pocket doesn’t fit the cloud cushion mat! It’s literally the same brand! I was shocked this wasn’t taken into consideration. I’m no expert but I feel this could in theory be an easy fix by making the hole wider. Heads up it does however make the bag more likely to tip in the direction of the mat. I want to be clear however, this also is NOT a huge deal breaker. Since the cloud cushion comes with its own carry strap, I use the secret pocket on my bag for my hoodie or coat or umbrella instead! Another bummer is the elastic strap for the laptop sleeve. I don’t know what gigantor computers y’all are carrying around but this strap is wayyy too long, even for my ancient macbook. I personally carry my iPad around instead for weight purposes so that makes the giant strap even more superfluous! I think I’m going to stitch it shorter to make it more snug and therefor more functional. Until then I’m using this pocket to store my extra clothes. The last thing is I’m not sure what the point of the outside buckles is? Simply because I can’t imagine ever needing the bag to be smaller lol.

Overall I can’t bring myself to give this bag only 4 stars cause it still exceeded my expectations in so many ways. I can totally see why people use this for everything including as a carry on bag, honestly a brilliant idea. If there’s a world where this gets re-released with updates to some of these features I will not hesitate at all to upgrade it! Or perhaps a back pack of this fabric instead? Idkidk I just love it lol

My parents got me this for Christmas because I have been asking for it! I’m so glad they were able to get the rose color before they sold out. I’m in love! I unwrapped it today and instantly had to try it out. It was able to fit all of my stuff, such as my lunchbox, binder, i pad 12.9 inch bag with my i pad, mouse, and keyboard inside. The pocket inside the main compartment was big enough to fit my book and glasses, and the little pockets inside were able to fit my perfume and lotion from Bath & Body Works. The outside zipper pocket is where I put my feminine products, and the easy access pocket is what I’ll be using to put my gum and hand sanitizer in as well. After fitting everything in, I also had a room left over in the bag for my cheer clothes inside the bag! However, when I put my cheer shoes in the shoe compartment it did take up space in the main compartment, leaving a bump, so if you are going to use the shoe compartment, I recommend you put all of your stuff in the main compartment first, then put your shoes in so it’s easier for you to squeeze in everything, but that’s not a big problem because even with that bump everything didn’t bulk out of my bag, it was all secure! I’m relieved that the bag is waterproof as well, because I can be very clumsy, or when it rains and I have to walk my way into the building, I won’t have to worry about anything in the bag getting wet. I can’t wait to use this bag for school and afterschool practices, or when I travel and have sleepovers!

My initial reaction was this is not warm pinkish color I thought it would be. It’s more purple and cooler toned. It’s a beautiful bag though. I haven’t opened it yet, it’s for my daughter, but I’m not sure how she’s going to react based on the color. Hopefully it’s not too purple for her and she’s not disappointed.

Bag is nice but the first time I used the key ring it broke. The waterbottle pocket in the inside is kinda useless for waterbottles but my waterbottle is quite smaller than the ones they use. The fabric is great but the external zipper is a cheap plastic and then obviously the key ring broke.

I'm a home health OT, and I use this bag for work. When I say it holds SO MANY THINGS, I mean it!! The color just pops, and all the kids love it. Wish I could get it in every color!! 😍💙💚

I love this bag. I am a home support worker and I take the bus to work. My work is actually at clients homes. Having to take the bus I was worried about if it was raining with my indoor shoes be able to stay dry and also my extra set of scrubs. I am happy to say I have been through some torrential downpours in this bag and everything in it stayed dry. The separate compartment for shoes is perfection for the indoor shoes that I have to wear in a clients home. I would recommend this bag and have recommended this bag to every healthcare worker that I have run into and I am still in College for this right now and I also recommended it to my class. This is the perfect bag.

I have had my eye on the Ella Duffle in flash magic for months! I wanted it so much, but couldnt justify the cost. Then it was marked down to $137 during the annual sale and I didnt hesitate! Now I wanted to wait to do a reveiw of this bag until I had a chance to use it several times. It worked out that I had three small trips over the course of about ten days, each being 2-3 days.

First thing to note, this bag is not heavy at all. Someone else commented the bag is so heavy its not worth carrying….I have no idea what they are talking about. Mine was only slightly heavy when it was full and had my computer in it. Now onto fuctionability! One thing I wasn’t really expecting is that the bottom shoe compartment has an expandble (for lack of a better term) aspect to it, that effects the inside space by about two inches. Meaning when you are not using the bottom compartment you have more room in the main part of the bag vs when you are using the bottom you have less. I wasn’t expecting that, I thought the bottom would expand down and not effect the main compartment. I’ve included pictures so you can see what I mean.

Next, there are a ton of pockets that make the bag very fuctional in both the inside and outside of the bag. I especially like the ring clip and outside pockets. I was able to comfortably fit my computer, charger, and kindle in the computer sleeve, then three days worth of clothes. I wasnt able to fit my toiletries in as well, but probably could have had I not been using the bottom compartment (I actually used it for my heating pad folded up and loved how well that fit). The shoulder strap is a bit oddly placed in that it doesnt hook to the sides of the bag but rather the handles. I thought this would bother me, but after using it for a few days it doesnt. It actually makes more sense for proper weight distribution when you think about it, i.e. you are pulling weight at the strongest points of contruction where nothing will tear.

Onto the color, I’m so in love with it! I love the more neutral tone of the outside (the grey). Then it’s so much fun when you take pictures. I also adore the inside design, I love that it matches my cosmos yoga mat. The inside design of the other ella duffles is what deterred me, I didnt like the bright inside designs for the darker bags (blue, black), but thats just a personal preferrance. If the inside design of the flash magic was matched with a dark blue or black duffle I would have scooped that design up right away!

One thing to note is that there is absolutely no way to fit a yoga mat in the sleeve when the bag is full. Even empty I can’t fit my cloud cushion mat in the sleeve. This does not bother me slightly, but just note incase this is what you want the bag for.

OverallI I am so in love with this bag! It was great for what I wanted and how I was using the bag.The only true downside is the cost.

Now onto my main problem. Having this duffle I now absolutely WANT the Ella backpack in magic flash, even though I don’t NEED it. The struggle is real.

Love the bag on the concept and the design. I bought this bag for travel purposes as I am a mom on the go. Hope to use it for future vacations with my little ones.
The reason I'm giving a 3 star is based toward the price for the quality and design stitch work. For a $200 bag I expected a better stitch work honestly. It tells me that during the manufacturing process that they care. There was a crease bent out of place from the pleating pocket but that's not the concern. I just see that the threading stitch work is not up to my standards. Im afraid that in years after its gonna snag and the stitching will come undone.
I spent this on my hard earnings. I really like this bag. As a mom it's perfect but I'm just torn on how it was made. I'm deciding on what I should do.

No more bags falling from your luggage, no more weird knots to make your bag secure on your carry-on!! This duffle bag is not only superrr spacious on the inside BUT IT HAS A SHOE COMPARTMENT that you can use for dirty laundry too lol. I love this bag so much and alll the pockets!!

This gym bag is so gorgeous, durable, and keeps me ready to run out to the gym. The bottom is where I store my shower shoes and spin shoes with enough room at the top for everything else. My only complaint is that the shoe compartment takes space from the inside of the bag which is a problem when I want to use it as an overnight bag. Regardless it’s still five huge stars for design and functionality. Like my Cora bag review, I really miss have a dust cover for it.
