Cocoon Coat - Black

I really enjoy this coat but I wouldn’t recommend buying it until some improvements are made on the design.It is so soft and plush. It really feels like wearing a hug and a blanket. I like how the button closure has two levels - one for a looser fit and one for a tighter fit that helps it cover your chest better. But you still have to hold it closed when it’s windy

I really wish this coat had maybe two more buttons. When it’s windy it blows open and the wind gets underneath the hood since there isn’t a closure closer to the neck.
I also have an issue with the pockets. They should
probably be sewn into the coat on all sides because if you have anything with a little weight in your pockets they sag down to where you can see the pocket from the outside. This means that I can’t use the pockets for my phone or keys. This is a huge drawback for me

Another HUGE drawback is the dry clean only aspect. This has definitely taught me the lesson to check the care instructions before buying expensive items. I’ve had it dry cleaned once and that will run me $9 per clean
So I realistically I will get this cleaned maybe once a month, which is a bummer because I’d realistically want to wash this every other week so I can wear it outside and to bed.
Part of me wants this coat in another color but the other part of me has a hard time dealing with the issues of the coat as it stands

I do appreciate the thumb holes. Theyre great if you don’t have gloves available

I have nothing but wonderful things to say…. So comfy and warm…now being spring it still is in great use since we’ve been having a major cold front….i take it everywhere with me

This coat is very comfortable and warm. I wish the pockets were placed in a more natural position and sewn flat to the inside, but all in all, I’m satisfied with this purchase.

I am so happy I purchased this coat. It is delightfully soft and cozy. I find myself sweating while wearing it sometimes because it’s so warm. Unfortunately, mine came with a hole in the right shoulder but I do not care. I’m going to see it up and keep wearing it! I love it.

Love the soft fabric, oversized hood, and thumb holes. I may exchange for a m/l instead of the l/xl, I typically wear a large for refrence. I feel like the pockets are in a slightly awkward location but maybe getting the right size will help. I was hoping the hood would tuck in cleanly so I could wear this to work but it does not so I may look at the bomber jacket later and use this for home lounge wear or a running errands coat. It being dry clean only make it an item I need to be a careful with in a home with pets but I think the extra care will be worth it.

I’ve been wearing this coat at home and it’s incredibly cozy, soft, and warm. I also tested it outside when it was 5°C / 41°F, with only a light sweater underneath, and I never felt cold. The oversized cocoon fit wraps you like a blanket — perfect for winter or chilly days.

I chose size L/XL because I wanted something that covers as much as possible and lets me move freely, unlike many other winter jackets.
For reference, I’m 1m56 / 5’1”, and the fit is exactly what I was hoping for — roomy, comfortable, and super flattering.

Wanted to make sure I put in a review because I waffled on this jacket for several weeks just because there were no good photos of a plus size person wearing the 1X/3X to really know if this looks at all decent on a plus sized body. I’m glad I took a chance because I really do like it. It is so warm, like I had to take it off because it was too hot in my house, but it will be nice on fall nights or when I’m going in and out of my fiancé’s house in the colder months. Thumb holes are great, the hood and how it drapes is gorgeous. And the fabric is so soft and cozy. But as the title says, it’s not very flattering, which is what it was afraid of. Since it’s meant to be oversized, I wasn’t really that worried about it being flattering, but I think there are definitely things that could be done to make it a little bit more flattering on bigger bodies. And that’s primarily changing out the fabric in the pockets. I get that the current pockets are the same fabric as the rest of the coat and so the pockets are extremely cozy, but as you can see, they really bulk up my waist area, which as a plus size gal, I’m not really looking to add significantly more volume around my waist and hips. But if you like the look of a silhouette on my body in these photos, I think you’ll be happy with the coat. Oh, and I should note that I am normally an 18/20, so I’m not entirely sure if a true 3X would fit that well in this coat. And to be clear, I am giving this five stars because I do think for its purpose. It’s really cute and it’s really comfortable, but if having something that’s really flattering is what you’re looking for as a plus size person, you might pass on this coat.

I got the teddy bear brown in 1x/3x as a size 16/18. It is so snuggly soft! My only complaint is that the seams are pretty stiff. I'm hoping that works out with wear, but in future iterations maybe the seams could be on the outside as a fun detail. Some deep colors would be fun, too, like eggplant and cranberry.

I literally just purchased this like 3/4 days ago and it already came today!! I took it out of the packaging and put it on, and INSTANTLY fell in love with it! It’s super flattering on and omg so warm! I live in the Midwest and this is going to perfect for the fall weather! I literally want every color! My grandmother freezes in the colder months and considering getting one for her. She 89 and still loves fashion! Worth every penny!

The Gray is thicker than the brown. I got the gray first because the brown sold out, so when I finally got the brown i was expecting the coat to be just as thick and heavy. Its not. I returned it for an exhcange which came very quick but the issue was the same. I noted customer service about the issue but I got back the same kind of defective coat. If i didnt send back the coat today i would have though they played me but all in all. Get the grey one!

After wearing it for over a week, the fabric has begun to look "dirty". And because of the fabric instruction, to dry clean only.. I have not washed the jacket. I am trying to find another alternative to make it look nice again. I hope she will make this design again but a different fabric. For this price, I was really sad and disappointed at how fast the fabric got ugly. (Please see pictures attached.)

I love this jacket, it is so warm and cozy and soft. I wasn't sure how it would look after washing it (cold water, hang to dry, even though it says dry clean only) but it still looks really nice!

My only complaint is that it seems like the thumbhole on the right side is on the wrong side, so when I put my thumbs through the holes the right sleeve is completely twisted around and the left one isn't, making it uncomfortable. I really love the thumbholes because it keeps my hands warm but it also pulls at the sleeve on the one side so I can't really use it. I don't know if this is a design flaw or if mine is just defective. I would give this 5 stars if the thumbhole was in the right spot because I honestly love how warm and soft it is, but for the price this is a huge drawback for me and I probably would have spent the money on something else.

I feel like i can definitely size down to the s/m. I usually wear medium/large. But was skeptical about the size and didn't know if it would stretch enough, so I got L/XL. It is so snuggly and even my 7 year old asks why she didn't make any for kids! We both have been taking turns wearing it around the house in Minnesota with negative degrees outside! 😍

I need talk to make more in small sized because I need them all!!! I can’t stop wearing it. I don’t even take it off. Like ever. It’s so cozy and comfortable and warm.

I wear size L but the L/XL fit more like a short coat that you can wear grocery shopping than a blanket you wear on the couch watching kdramas. I exchanged it for 1X/3X and it was perfect! Then I got one for my mom and sisters at Christmas and they love it too! The one I got had something poking out at the neckline and it was scratching my neck. It ended up being a plastic band sticking out of a seam. A quick pull and snip fixed that.

I have a similar fuzzy hoodie sweater (different brand at a higher price point) and it’s lovely but not as warm and as soft as this one!! I have worn it for over a week now while I work from home and feel so special wearing it, with the hand length and thumb holes, and the hoodie cover. So sweet!!!

I LOVE this coat, its so warm even against the snow. Fit well, but i sized up because i wanted that extra oversized look. 10/10 would recommend.
