Since the beginning of my second trimester, I was already on the look out for non maternity pcs that would work as my baby bump grew, and then something I could use even postpartum. I happily discovered that this skirt is one of them. You can style it over the bump or under. The slit adds a nice little flare that makes me love it even more. Such a versatile skit to add to your capsule wardrobe.

It’s giving modern mermaid and I can adjust the slit to whichever length I want. Highly recommend !

You need her! Unbelievably soft, so stretchy, and if it's slightly too long unfolded, fold it and you're good! WE LOVE HER!

I loved this skirt a lot, its longer than I thought but even in heels its still cute, and easy to wash.

I loved this when I first got it, but the fabric pulled pretty dramatically in the seat area after just a few wears. Not sure what happened, but it does pair beautifully with the cloud hoodie! Usual popflex size if you want some snatching, otherwise size up. I also have pretty long legs for 5’2” and probably could have used the regular length instead of petite

I'm OBSESSED with this skirt! I'm 5'2" and about 170lbs. I bought the large petite. The only thing missing is pockets! Otherwise I'd wear this everywhere. The slit is sexy and the fit and fabric are divine. Depending on the top you wear, it could be dressed up or down. I even wore it to a Fourth Wing fan event because it was perfect for a rider costume!

She is tiiight. It hugs your curves and the slit is sky is sky high. I'm 4'11" and curvy so the skirt hits around my ankles. I'm usually an XL in bottoms, but depending on the fit, sometimes I'll go 1X. If I were to buy it again, I'd size up. I paired it with the Sea Maiden Bikini Top for an easy pirate costume for Halloween and loooved it.

I love a lot of what popflex releases, and I thought this would be a no brainier as I’m obsessed with my mermaid cover up. However, a few factors caused me to return this. I found the slit to be way too high for my taste. The skirt opened up through the slit and almost my entire thigh was out. There wasn’t as much movement through the bottom of the skirt because of the missing fabric where the slit was.
Additionally, I didn’t care for the fold over waistband. I thought I would feel cute and 00s vintage, but I just felt like I was wearing 5 Below yoga pants. If I unfolded the waistband, I was left with a strange line across the largest party of my tummy and it was baggy around my waist.
If popflex released a version of this skirt with a slit that started around the knee area and didn’t have the fold over waist band but was instead a true high waist, I would consider buying this again.

I bought this skirt cause I loved the design. Upon receipt, I'm a little disappointed and wondering if I should have waited for the 2nd iteration.
My critiques:
1) I don’t like the foldover design. It runs large and is misleading if it can be high waisted. I find I don't have much choice in how I wear it. It doesn't snatch me in like the other waists from popflex (I have the criss-cross and the cargo). In fact, I found the waist to be large (and that's odd cause I technically size down from what the size chart says I should be. I get a small which is my true size, when according to the chart, a medium should be a better fit)
2) The color. I didn't understand it from the description but the "black" isn't a true black. It's more like a smokey black or an off black. My fault though for not interpreting correctly "cool" in the "cool black". For reference, the shirt I have on is black and the color of the skirt is noticeably contrasting. It makes it tricky when going for a monotone look with what I already have in my closet

What I love:
3) The twirl! Very fun to wear. Well cut from the hips down. I got lots of compliments. I like my skirt to almost hit the floor, so I got regular length.
5) I love the slit! It's high but modest in how it fits. My gripe with other brands is that they don't commit to a slit and it just doesn't come off like it should. This though? It's perfection! And yes, u can adjust a bit how high up the slit hits. Just means you may not have the waist portion settle wear u want it.

Overall, I like the skirt. Just disappointed cause to wear it, I feel like I have to fuss with it too much and feel limited in finding the right top to go with it.

(My measurements: 5'3" 135lbs, 36-30-37. Inverted triangle/Straight shape. I bought a Small Regular Length)

I love this skirt! Not only is it comfortable but it’s very flattering. The fabric is thick enough to hide some of those imperfections we all have, but stretchy enough to help pull you in. Also-the twirlability!

The fabric is so nice way better than any other type maxi skirt fabric I’ve tried before. It’s very versatile you can dress it up for a night on the town or kick it cute casual for a low key night. The slit is not too high that you have to constantly be worried. The waistband is everything I love about fold overs. It runs very honestly true to size for reference I’m 5’1”- 160lbs- waist 33- hips 40 and I got a XL Petite and it fits perfectly I could honestly go down to a Large but I like my skirts to always be a little loose around the waist. Don’t wait for this staple wardrobe skirt to sale out, cause you will totally kick yourself in the butt. Can’t wait to see if they roll this out in more colors especially a latte brown or a taupe!!! I was super excited for the restock, it came super quick, and the feel of the material is heaven. Wore it to a long night of hosting karaoke where I move lots and dance too, and it was so comfortable and flowy, and I got lots of compliments on it, I wore it with a crop top and flip flops.

Feedback: I am between M and L in Popflex, and because I am on a fitness and health journey I sized down, also because I wanted a tighter fit, and I feel that was a good decision. I played around with the waist a lot to find what I liked, I was happy to have options, I'm not 100% happy with my body, but still giving it love, and I liked my booty in this skirt from what I could see. I don't normally wear short skirts, so I did some careful getting up and sitting down, but overall I felt comfortable and pretty in my skirt all night. A lower slit option would also be nice, but I was prepared going in and I love the look.

Decade long Cassey fan and customer, been with Popflex since the beginning and I'm always happy to try out the newest pieces. It held up great for a busy and active night, and I felt like a real mermaid princess 💗.

This is by far my favorite POPFLEX purchase so far. The material is scrumptious and the fit is flattering. I was so worried this would only look good on the models. LOVE!

I wore this all throughout my pregnancy with the waistband not folded and I would get SO MANY compliments! And it’s just as cute postpartum too!

I think my legs are too short for this skirt but other than that its so perfect! Inlove the material! I wish i was a bit taller for it to be good on me

This is the most flattering maxi skirt I have tried on. Soft buttery material and love the long slit. Could easily wear it out for dinner or an event.
