I purchased this shrug as a way to elevate any outfit, workout or not.
It looks just like the pictures, so it's very pretty and will totally do the job. It's stretchy enough and true to size - not quite as stretchy as the Relevé Ribbed Shrug because of the material, so I wouldn't size down.
My only problem with it is that honestly, this is not the softest lace. I've seen softer laces before and I kind of expected the lace to be softer considering the price and that Popflex usually creates comfortable items. I don't have sensitive skin so I know I would be fine wearing it all day if I was just working or something, but if I was working out, just by putting it on, I can tell it will eventually scratch my skin in some places (like elbows, armpits...) and become uncomfortable. So I feel like it doesn't really work for working out, which is a bummer, since it's part of a workout set...
So I think this item deserves 4 stars and I would recommend it, just not for working out.
The reason I am giving it 3 stars is that, on the specific shrug I received, either one of the thumb holes in already broken and unraveling straight out of the package, or it's just a defect and the thumbholes are sewn really unevenly - I'm not quite sure. I hope it's a defect and it won't get worse (see pictures). Either way, I'm not satisfied with that considering the price I'm paying for the item. It also feels weird that they are uneven when wearing the shrug.
Still like this shrug and will wear it, just hope I won't have to fix it.
Edit: I ended up buying another color and it isn't defective, so that's good.

I really wish this looked as cute on me as it does on others! Lace was a little too scratchy for me. The fit felt too tight but I think sizing up would’ve made it too big. The back feels like it should be longer, too — it it hit me in a strange spot. Ultimately returned because it just wasn’t for me!

As usual this is a hit and I love how it helps me feel more confident. Sometimes I'm a bit self-conscious of my flabby arms.
The lace shrugs are so darling! I have one in pink, and one in white. Def giving cute and coquette!

This shrug is so beautiful! After falling in love with the ribbed shrug, I jumped on my chance to get a new color to accessorize with. Having both now, I find the lace fabric is not as stretchy and retains the BO smell, so it must be washed between every wear.
Beautiful, just as described. I want the black now, have to have it! I’m 5’5, 125lb, hold most of my weight in my belly from babies. I normally wear a small in shirts and a medium or 6 in pants (bc my belly) probably around 29 inch waist and the M of this shrug is perfect! Chest is 36C. Get it!
Comfortable and cute addition to gymwear. Soft material and no itchiness with the lace pattern. Unfortunately now I want this in every color
I’m a bit short so my arms aren’t as long as are ideal for this releve but I’m okay with that because it looks very pretty and feels very comfortable. It just has slight bunching with the fabric because if I have my hands in the thumb holes the extra fabric has to go somewhere. Be aware of that if you want something more fitted.
Love this shrug so much. With the lace you think only suitable for dancing but i wear it everywhere even to a gym and do workout. It is stretchy and comfortable. Definetely must have for a feminine vibe in the gym.

I'm usually a size M in Popflex's dresses, but I size down on my tops as I'm slightly more bottom-heavy than top-heavy. The size S fit amazingly, it was snug in all the right ways. I don't really like having my shoulders/upper arms exposed but I still love dresses that have small straps so this shrug is amazing to add a cute yet functional purpose to my outfits.
I absolutely loved it! It's so cute and helps decorate any workout fit. I bought it because I do aerial silks, and unfortunately it was too short because it left my back exposed with the matching top. I'll be buying the full length version and try it out!
I have sensory issues and can't stand scratchy fabrics. The lace on this isn't as soft as I thought it would be but I can still wear it. The lace is such a cute touch to any outfit. One thing I noticed is the ivory shrug is a bit more warm in color than the ivory pirouette skort.
Comfortable, high quality lace - not scratchy. While I still fit my regular size XS, if was not as fitted so I would size down for a more fitted look. It was looser than the Releve Ribbed Shrug.
I was a little worried it might be itchy as some lace is, but it is super soft and comfy. I love it soo much!
Love this as a fun layering piece! It’s nice for a cute addition to my workout clothes, but I also found that it’s cute under a tshirt as well.

The shrug is so cute! I am pairing it with my Tutu Pink flexy crop top and the lace pirouette skort and I feel like a princess!!
