Brunch Sweater - Merlot

This is such a cute oversized sweater! Very comfortable and warm. I love it! I'm glad I snagged the dark green and gray colors when they were on final sale. 😊 I'm obsessed with PopFlex sweaters! The only thing I didn't expect was that the tag said "Dry Clean Only," but fortunately it seems fine after being washed on the delicate cycle and laid flat to dry. This isn't the first time I've gotten a PopFlex item where the wash instructions on the website differ from what the tag says. I don't want to buy things I have to take to a dry cleaner, so I'm disappointed PopFlex didn't give the correct information on their website.

I have already said how much I love a good sweatshirt, as well as how good POPFLEX sweaters are, but the brunch sweater may be my absolute favorite. I own it in all 3 colors currently available and am always reaching for it (I'm wearing it right now, actually). The colors are deep and true to the photos, the oversized design is super attractive and dramatic, and I most deeply love that it doesn’t really touch you at all.

For reference, I’m 5’0”, 130lbs, 34.5” bust/34DD and 29” hips. I standardly wear a medium in Popflex bras, tops and bottoms, and S/M in sweaters. I bought my usual size.

So I bought this with a Birthday Gift Card and I have literally had my eye on this sweater for probably a year. That being said, I think it’s a little overwhelming on me and I feel like I’m drowning. For reference, I am 5’3, 130lbs, 34D, 26in waist and 38 inch hips. I purchased the black brunch sweater xxs/xs. I am normally an xs. I can’t tell if it’s cute or I look like the Michelin man lol It is tapered, soft, flowy and very thick. It is also extremely wrinkled and the instructions say don’t use an iron and I don’t have a steamer. Still undecided if I’m going to keep it or try the crew neck sweater instead. I just feel like this is way too much volume for my body. I am petite but have long limps, like even though I’m 5’3 my arms and legs and longer so usually “petite” times are too short on me. Either way I am really undecided. It is a beautiful sweater but for $80+ and not loving it I will most likely return and try a different sweater 😕 I did purchase the cloud hoodie in xxs and I love it 😍

I return it. As a short 5’3’, hourglass curvy body - I just looked like a blob (S/M size). But not a cute blob as I planned. I love my zip up cloud hoody, but on the brunch sweater, the sleeves are bigger and it overwhelms my body. Maybe if I sized down? Or had it altered. It’s so comfy , and the Merlot color is so beautiful. I really wanted to like it.

I sized down from my usual XL/L to S/M, and it was still pretty big. I think it's flattering and the cuffed sleeves make me feel like one of those Victorian ladies with puffy sleeves. The pockets were really handy, too. I can fit my phone in, but it'd need to be in the upright position. The material feels soft, thick and comfy. Would recommend this.

Absolutely love this sweater. I got L/XL and it fits great. I’m 5 ft 3, curvy build, 40D bra, 32 waist. It’s oversized of course, but I love it so much. Perfect for lounging (it’s basically my couch sweater at this point). Can’t wait to wear it out and about this fall!

I love the look

So… I overwhelmingly love this sweater. Except for 2 things. I am a 16/18 so I got the 1x/3x version and it’s just too big. I checked the size chart before ordering as this was going to cost me extra being outside of the US. it’s not big as in long, it’s big as in wide. With the cut, it sits at the right point to cover my bits but it’s almost unflatteringly wide. Also, the fabric is SOOO stain-able. I have office wear clothes that are more resilient than this fabric. The olive green shows every single drop or smudge, and if you drop food on it, I promise you: you need to strip immediately and treat that stain otherwise it is there forever. Everyone will know you had buttered waffles with maple syrup at brunch that one time. So yeah, with mixed emotions this is a purchase I regret even though I do legitimately love this sweater in many ways. Signed, I need to wear an apron everywhere

Bought the Brunch Sweater in Burnt Olive, in S/M, back in July 2023. I was eyeing this piece for a while and finally gave in. This sweater is very chic, cute, stylish, and overall comfortable, and I do love it. I have two problems, thus the 4 stars.
1. as advertised, the sleeves are majestic, and large (as seen in the picture). this makes it difficult to layer any jackets or vests over it (especially crucial in cold 0 F degree weather), so I only wear it at home in colder months. but in the warmer months, it is a great piece to wear out! something to consider for those in colder climates
2. the pockets are pretty small - comfortable to shove my hands into there, but can't hold my phone or anything
These problems aren't really a big deal, but worth considering and might not be for you if you plan on layering vests/jackets on top of the sweater (personally, I have to do this a lot lol).

I usually wear L or XL in all brands but this one is trully big deffinitly shouldve sized down but im loving its cozy and soft! However I did pay almost the same price in shipping and customs as the sweater itself..

Love the fit, great for dressing up! Looks great with a flare legging. Pockets are pretty small though.

This sweatshirt is amazing! Be forewarned— it’s massive lol. Originally I ordered S/M per the size chart but it was swallowing me so I went down to XXS/XS and that is much more flattering without making me look like a puffball. For reference I’m 5’4” 132#, chest 34in, waist 27in and hips 35in. I would also like to mention I don’t plan on putting this in the dryer at all as I never dry my sweatshirts, just a personal preference to deter from wearing down the fabric quickly and from shrinkage so YMMV.

The taupe shown on the model vs the actual color is quite different. Much darker than pictured.. also, the sleeves are huge. I like the size of the hoodies, but this is like almost double that. I really wanted to like this one, but disappointed :(

This is a baggy sweater! If you want regular baggy, size DOWN, but if you want more baggy size your normal size, or even up!!

I just love love these sweaters. I would get it in every single color if I could. I love the oversize look so I got a L/XL size. My sister initially told me to get S/M which I will probably do in my next purchase. I wear these everywhere-errands, work, etc. don’t forget to pair with your fave Popflex hat.

I love the versatility with popflex clothes. You can either dress it up or dress down. I’m 5’2, 152 lbs and 34 DD and went with the s/m. I find it a perfect fit. Also have the black. Very comfy and oh sooo cute.
