Butterfly Short - Bubblegum

I took a chance with these - not usually one for something so flirty nor less than high waist and it's SO cute. The waistband is comfortable and flattery and I love how the shorts twirl. Can't wait to wear these for heels class!

I really love the idea of these shorts, and the overall design is almost perfect. I love the way the mesh fabric drapes over the shorts, and the shape it makes is very pretty. Unfortunately, I absolutely hate the waistband on me. I tried this in both an XS and XXS and both waistbands were unflattering. They push up the little bit of fat/skin in my tummy area and sort of exaggerated it, and I hadnt even eaten anything in yet! I'm honestly so upset that the waistband is what it is, because I LOVE the shorts otherwise. I wish there was a version of these shorts that had a thicker waistband that hid more of the tummy. Alternatively, the current waistband could work if the rise was just higher and covered the bellybutton instead of being under it. I pulled the shorts up and liked them a lot better (as seen in one of the photos), but I just know they wont stay like that, and doing so sort of gives me a wedgie. Otherwise, these shorts are very comfortable; the material feels nice and it seems well made. I will say that without the mesh you would def be able to see your underwear lines through it. I'm so sad these didnt work out for me and I'm lowkey considering looking for a seamstress who could maybe alter it to fit how I want it to. They're just so pretty, it's such a shame ;_; Literally begging Cassey to make another version, maybe with the criss cross waistband from the leggings! Or just make these more highrise/make this current waistband thicker. I'm fr so sad over these.

I don't know why I purchased these in S (my usual size). Considering the design, it was obvious these would fit like the On The Run Ruffle Shorts. I momentarily forgot to size down, I guess.

As I should have expected, these do not fit true to size. According to the size chart, my size should have been S, but they were super loose at the waist. I say were because I did a quick fix and altered them a bit so they would fit, that's why they fit and they look like that in the back on my pictures. My alteration doesn't look great, but I just don't think I wanna spend more time on it, cause the truth is... even if they fit, I really don't like these shorts and I might not keep them.

They are just too low waisted for my taste. I wanted to give them a chance because they are so adorable, but I don't feel comfortable wearing them. Also, the bubblegum pink color of the inner shorts is more lavender than my other bubble pink items (see with top), but at least it's not that noticeable because the mesh is the right color.

The other thing I don't like about them is that the mesh bunches in the crotch area, but like, not just a little bit. It's instant. I put on the shorts and, instantly, the mesh fabric starts gathering at the crotch. Sure, it looks great if I adjust it, but it doesn't wanna stay in place for more than 2 seconds, and it looks terrible. I have the Cadence Shorts which do this too, but it doesn't look nearly as bad and they take a little while before bunching up, it's not as frequent as it is with these.

Apart from all that, I think they look good when you place the mesh correctly and are flattering. The design is very cute. They are comfortable. The inner shorts are too short though and they ride up, to no one's surprise. But they are soft and stretchy, and they have pockets, so that's nice.

I'm sure some people love these, but I personally wouldn't recommend them. Sucks because they had such potential, they are so cute.

I like these as an alternative to my pirouette skort. With the skort I sometimes step on the skirt when I'm sitting on the floor and then getting up. I do this often since I'm a mom to a toddler lol. I can have the whimsy without the interference of the skirt. They are slightly less flattering but worth the trade off for the extra freedom. The waist band is elastic and will roll a bit on the sides where the smallest part of my waist is.

This is my 5th pair (I have them all now) of these super cute shorts. They are so cute and comfortable, and I love the feeling of the mesh against my skin as I move. From the seamless front to the great pockets, these shorts are super. So I’m a very happy boy! I adore Popflex and have dozens of their skirts and dresses. I wore these shorts for my Zumba class tonight and they were so comfortable and so flirty to wear. I received many compliments on these shorts ❤️

I love the butterfly shorts but the bubblegum color has lavender hued shorts underneath. Still pretty but not an exact match if you're building a bubblegum wardrobe. In my review photo the butterfly shorts in bubblegum is on the left and the pirouette skort in bubblegum is on the right.

I’m in love with these shorts, and the black is super cute and, dare I say it, sexy! The shorts are incredibly comfortable as usual, and the pockets are brilliant, big enough for my phone and keys when I go walking. But it’s the mesh over shorts that are the real winner. I love how they look and feel on my skin. I looove Popflex clothing, without doubt my favourite brand in the world. The quality is superb, and their customer support is incomparable. As a guy I have found them incredibly supportive of my clothing choices. They understand, making beautiful clothes should allow everyone to enjoy wearing them. I’m a huge fan of Popflex clothing. You can see I have 21 Pirouette skorts in the photo, and the new Pine colour on the way. These are my second pair of Butterfly shorts, and they are so cute and comfy. I love the girly bubblegum pink colour. They will be wonderful to wear on my walks. These are size small. The floaty mesh feels delicious on my skin and is very flouncy. The shorts are great, as usual, for products from Popflex. Fabulous fit and with seamless front and big pockets. Popflex are a wonderful company to deal with, and have supported my clothing choices since I have first dealt with them a few years back. Please like my reviews. It means a lot to me. I just want to be happy, and these shorts bring me joy. 😘😘

I’m a huge fan of Popflex. I have 22 of the Pirouette skorts and two Pirouette Babydoll dresses. So it wasn’t a big decision to try the Butterfly shorts. I’m not disappointed at all. I bought size small, and the fit is perfect. They are so comfortable, and super cute. The undershorts are like the skort, but a little shorter. I love the floaty gossamer mesh especially. It’s so light and I love how it feels when I move. Popflex are a very inclusive company and have been a great support to me. Why wouldn’t you want to feel wonderful in clothing? That’s all I want. I get lots of positive responses to my reviews. So please like my review, it means a lot😘😘

I have a rectangle body shape and these are so cute. These are perfect for Pole. The definition and flare around the hips is so flattering. I love them. I will say according to the size chart I’m supposed to be an xs, but I got an xxs & the waistband was like Kinda loose still so keep that in mind other than that, I love it. The mesh is kind of cheap it frays in the washing machine so for the price I don’t think it should be doing that but these design style details you can’t get anywhere else.

As soon as I took the shorts out of the bag I could tell they were way too big. Compared to another new item of the same size you can see that unstretched the waist band is inches bigger. When I tried it on it was obviously falling off my body. The size chart indicates sizing is the same for this garment as others I’ve purchased but that’s clearly not the case. I’m sad that I have to go through an exchange and guess what size might work since the chart for this item isn’t accurate.

These are super cute! I love the way they flow when moving around. These were a bit out of my comfort zone but I got these to try because pop flex has a tendency to make me love styles that I didnt realize I would. These shorts are super comfortable to work out in and I think the quality is deffinately there! I think they would look amazing on someone looking to add a little more volume to their hip area and snatch in their waist more. Im not sure that this is the most flattering for me personally, Im not sure I love the v waistband on myself and dont think my hips need quite that much volume added...but im still glad I tried it! Im still gonna wear them a little more to see if I get used to them because they are darling.
